Velosit MS 9902 – Densified Micro Silica (Silica Fume) Supplier in India

Innovation Meets Concrete Excellence

Velosit MS 9902 is a densified micro silica — also known as silica fume — designed to transform concrete performance for high-demand applications. It is a super-fine, amorphous, high silica-content pozzolanic powder produced through advanced processing and densification techniques.

Meeting ASTM C1240:2020, IS 1727:1967 & IS 15388:2003 standards, Velosit MS 9902 is trusted by engineers, architects, and contractors for delivering exceptional strength, impermeability, and durability in high-performance concrete (HPC), marine structures, precast elements, and other demanding construction environments.

By replacing a portion of cement in the mix, Velosit MS 9902 also supports sustainable construction, reducing CO₂ emissions without compromising on quality.

Why Choose Velosit MS 9902 Micro Silica?

  1. Exceptional Strength

Enhances compressive and flexural strength, enabling structures to withstand higher loads and more demanding service conditions.

  1. Enhanced Durability

Provides superior protection against:

  • Weathering from temperature changes and moisture
  • Abrasion in high-traffic areas
  • Chemical attack in aggressive industrial and marine environments
  1. Improved Rheology & Workability

Increases cohesiveness, reduces bleeding and segregation, and supports a smoother surface finish — ideal for Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) and precast applications.

  1. Shrinkage Control

Minimizes micro-cracking by reducing drying shrinkage, extending the service life of the structure.

  1. Eco-Friendly Advantage

Replaces part of the cement content, reducing raw material usage and contributing to a lower environmental footprint.

How Velosit MS 9902 Works

Velosit MS 9902 works through a pozzolanic reaction, where its ultra-fine particles react with calcium hydroxide in the cement paste to form additional calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) gel.

This reaction:

  • Fills micro-voids in the concrete
  • Creates a denser, impermeable matrix
  • Blocks the pathways for water, chlorides, and sulphates
  • Improves long-term chemical stability

The densified form ensures:

  • Reduced dust during handling
  • Improved storage efficiency
  • Better dispersion in the concrete mix

Addition Methods

Powder Addition

Add MS 9902 with aggregates and sand before adding cement, water, and admixtures. Mix for at least 30 seconds before cement addition.

Slurry Addition

Slurry preparation on-site improves dispersion. Use quality slurrying equipment with suspension additives. Add slurry with the final 25% of mixing water and mix for at least 30 seconds.

Dosage Guidelines

Typical dosage range: 5–12 % by weight of cement.
Final dosage should be determined through trial mixes based on

  • Project requirements
  • Target performance
  • Environmental exposure conditions

Storage & Shelf Life

  • Store in dry, shaded areas at 5–35°C
  • Shelf life: 24 months in original unopened packaging

Benefits in Different Applications

Marine Structures

  • Reduces chloride penetration, preventing rebar corrosion
